Vote on Weird Al Yankovic joining MyTjoe Radio (70s)

I'm rethinking putting Weird Al Yankovic on here.

When first asked, I said no, because he is 80s/90s/2000s.... not 70s.

However, I was just doing other research when I came across some information that puts him into the 70s.
* First submitted a song to Dr. Demento in 1973. (as Alfred Yankovic)
* Dr. Demento first aired one of his songs in 1976. (as Alfred Yankovic)
* First national release was 1979 (My Bologna).
* The most-requested artist in the history of "The Dr. Demento Show".

Also... His Slime Creatures From Outerspace is in my Halloween library, and his Christmas At Ground Zero is in my Christmas library. Not that it means they are 70s material (they aren't), but he's no stranger to this site.

And, maybe he'll quit pestering me to be put on here Wink

So, I am now considering it. It should be noted, however, that some of his material can be offensive.

Let the people speak!

Okay - at long last I've decided that Weird Al can be here. His people and my people are talking to each other now... word has it that "Al" is so happy about this that he's running with scissors.

But, I can't decide which one to get first. Unfortunately, he has a lot of great material but it's spread over a bunch of albums. Neither of his Greatest Hits has enough on it, and many of his albums have repeats of songs that are on other albums. And I don't know that I want to budget for more than one album.

So, help me pick the one to get, and maybe some people can donate others.

Wow - I've not had a harder time at picking songs to put on the station before than I have with picking songs from Weird Al. Problem #1 - he has well over a hundred songs - many of them are popular favorites. Problem #2 - these popular favorites are all spread across many albums. Although he has a couple of compilation albums (Food, Tv) and a couple of Greatest Hits albums, and even a box set, there isn't one really good source.

Being the geek that I am, I even created a spreadsheet of all his works available at Amazon to help me sort it out. I was close to getting the box set, but at $47 dollars, I wanted to get a lot more favorites of mine, and what I've gathered from others, than just 22 out of 50 songs. So, seeing as I love most of his food ones and his tv ones, I bought those two compilation albums to get started. Then, I prioritized the remaining songs based on requests that I've gotten from various people that spoke up, and the songs availability on MP3 or just CD. I picked 14 more individual songs and bought them.

The following lists show what I have now, what I still want, and then the other songs that I don't care about - but you might Wink I've spent enough on Weird Al so if you want more added, I'll be setting up my donation system soon, or you can purchase an Amazon gift card and send me the number, or you can purchase a CD that has the few songs not available on download and have it sent to me (PM me for that information). I can't accept personal MP3s though - sorry.
