Hello Strawbs,

Your username looks familiar - do I know you from somewhere else?

First, some basics.
Can I assume that you have SAM up and running and that you can see the queue (now playing, up coming, and previously played) from your web server?
Can people make requests (do they work)? Are they typing in a name and a message?

Typically, the dedications are automatically displayed if someone types something into the dedication box. The default code does not require that people type something. I modified my code to show a ">>" in the dedication even if they don't type anything. This way I can see if a song was requested or played by SAM.
Do your SAM files exist on your web server in a folder called "php" or in "samPHPweb"? I'm having to use a hybrid of both folders. When my web host forced me to update the php level of my server, some things stopped working - like making requests. My files, in "php", are from a very old version of SAM and not compatible with php versions higher than 5.3. So I loaded the samPHPweb version of the files, but the queue files still didn't work (under any version of php). I eventually decided to use the newer playlist.php files for requesting/dedicating and stay on the older queue files.
The reason I ask about the version of sam web files is under the "php" version is a file ( /php/reqlist.php ) that lets you see all requested songs, and the dedications. If you have that file, can you see the dedications there?

could you please help me do something like you're now playing and coming up please
